About Arkadian Collection

History

For twelve years now, Arkadian Collection has been working in the world of Moldavite and other Rare Gemstones to bring you the best of Nature’s bounty. With our jewelry workshops and main business based in Europe, we bring you the highest quality Moldavite direct from the source and finely crafted, premier gemstone jewelry made by talented artisans. All of our website items are stocked in the United States where they ship out promptly and safely worldwide.

I began Arkadian Collection with my wife, Katy, back in 1999, when I made my first trip to the Czech Republic to try to acquire the illusive Moldavite direct from the source. Those were times of large yields from fields like Slavce, Dhobrovska Lhotka, Chlum nad Mlasi, and other interesting localities. Since that time, moldavite has become much more rare and prices have skyrocketed, as demand continues to grow and supply diminish. Fortunately, living relatively close to the Czech Republic, I travel there frequently and track down whatever high quality Moldavites I am able to find. Have no fear, as long as there is a need for this incredible stone, I’ll be hunting it down.

In 2002, we established a jewelry workshop in Krakow, Poland, a city known for its rich Artisan history and creative atmosphere. Just an hour outside of Krakow, we live on an Organic Farm, that’s on its way to becoming a small eco village. We balance life, going back and forth between our mountain hideaway, and working in the city with our group of talented artisan jewelers, designers, and band of artists. Katy and I hope to launch a sister website to represent our music, which we will link here to Arkadian Collection. We keep plenty busy and although it’s a lot of work, Arkadian Collection is a never ending source of joy and inspiration. Design

I’ve been designing our one of a kind gemstone jewelry pieces as well as our limited collections for some years now. Recently another young designer, Monika, fresh from her Art degree is helping to create some of the designs you see on our website. We strive to achieve our goal of creating magical, wearable gemstone art. Using only the highest quality of gemstones and crystals from around the world, we bring you something unique, lovingly crafted and imbued with that special little something. Let go of what you’re looking for and let the piece find you! Each one of our Artisan handcrafted gemstone jewelry pieces are one of a kind and just waiting to find their rightful match!

Website

This is the second incarnation of Arkadian Collection online.The original design was put together by a close friend, Mary Lee Weir. Thanks to Chapman, a web entelechist and good friend, we are now able to create this virtual world of living gemstone art.

Customer Service

Katy, my lovely wife, is the backbone of Arkadian Collection online and the sweet voice you hear on the other end of the line. She runs all day-to-day operations online and generally does everything she can to keep the long list of happy customers growing. Give us a call, write, email or Skype. Photography and Video

The photography is done in our little photo studio by Monika (designer, photographer) and myself. We use special daylight lamps, which mimic the perfect neutral light of the sun, to show the true colors of the gemstones. We also have fun putting together the cosmic backgrounds you see in the jewelry photos online. Oh, and make sure to check out our videos of Moldavites, Crystals and other fine gems, giving you an enhanced 360 degree perspective of our finest pieces.
